Choosing an area rug for your space can be hard, especially when you are buying online! At Rug & Weave we have an extensive variety of rugs, so we know we can find the perfect one for you! To help guide you through the process, we have created 3 Easy Tips for Buying an Area Rug Online.
1. KNOW YOUR SPACE
Measure your space! We often suggest an 8x10 or 9x12 rug for larger rooms. Ideally, you should have the front feet of each furniture piece grounded on the rug. The rug should go underneath your sofa by at least 2 ft. To help you with sizing, we have a Rug Sizing Guide.
Think about the colours in your space (floors, furniture, accents), are there certain colours you'd like to coordinate with your rug?
What is the lighting in your space? If you get lots of natural light, your rug may appear brighter than our online photos.
How much traffic does your space get? We suggest low pile rugs for high traffic areas for easy cleaning and durability.
2. GET INSPIRATION
Take a peak through our Instagram and Pinterest for styled shots of our rugs. It's a great way to get an idea of the true colours in the rug.
We suggest searching the name of the rug in Pinterest along with the room you're looking to put it in. This will allow you to see it in a space that may be similar to yours!

3. FIND YOUR FAVS
Browse through our extensive collection of rugs available online. Use our various filters to narrow down your search by size, colour and material.
Take screenshots and save the names of your top 5 favourites! Make a folder on your device to save your favs. Put all the screenshots together in a document to compare, this will help you narrow it down to one rug!
Last but not least, remember that we've got you covered! Any of our rugs can be returned for exchange or store credit within 30 days.
